Lecture on "Cognition on the Edge" @ technarte conference technarte International Conference on Art & Technology 23rd & 24th of April 2009 Bilbao, Spain  Ludwig Zeller will present the theoretical background and design process behind his diploma project "CubeBrowser". The „Cognition on the Edge“ concept tries to think two branches of Distributed Cognition together: The concepts of Embodied Cognition on the one hand and Socially Distributed Cognition on the other. The former is describing our bodily-based existence in the world as a highly important foundation for all cognitive processes, while the latter tries to outline the distribution of intelligence across several or many people. Additionally, there will be the possibility to test the latest prototype of CubeBrowser at the conference. About technarte conference TECHNARTE is an international conference on art and technology that seeks to become the most important event of its kind. The aims are to present technological developments that enhance a broader expression of modern art, and to provide a forum for debate and reflection on the convergence between technology and art. |

CubeBrowser at SIGCHI 2009 April 4th - 9th 2009 CHI 09, Boston, USA  Ludwig Zeller successfully submitted a short paper to the Design Vignettes track of CHI 2009 in Boston, USA, where he will present a prototype of his diploma thesis. About CHI 2009 Computing is reaching into all parts of modern life. CHI 2009 will be the showcase for the technologies, designs and ideas that will form the new world of digital life. There are many exciting new ways in which computing can improve life in many parts of the world. CHI 2009 will be the place to see that happen. CHI 2009 will be held in Boston, MA, USA. Many of the pioneering computer companies had their home in the Boston area. It is also the home of some of the great computing research universities. |

CubeBrowser at V2_ Test_Lab: Artistic Interfaces March 12th 2009, 8PM V2, Eendrachtsstraat 10, Rotterdam  Ludwig Zeller presents his diploma thesis CubeBrowser at the "Artistic Interfaces" issue of V2_ Test_Lab series in Rotterdam. Test_Lab is a bi-monthly public event organized by V2_ Institute for the Unstable Media that provides an informal setting for the presentation, demonstration, testing, and discussion of artistic research and development (aRt&D).
